Senator Bob Mensch

The 2018 legislative session is getting underway, beginning with Tuesday’s election of a Senate President Pro Tempore and a Senate Education Committee meeting. The meeting was held so members could consider the submission of comments on Pennsylvania’s state plan under the federal Every Student Succeeds Act (the follow-up to No Child Left Behind.)

Looking back to 2017, reform, public safety, health care, jobs, education and more key issues were the focus of legislation passed by the Senate last year. Check out more than 100 bills of note, organized by topic.
