Sen. Brooks Invites Everyone to Free Senior Expos on Friday, Sept. 15 and 22Sen. Michele Brooks invites senior citizens and those who care for them to join her for two Senior Expos, to be held on Friday, Sept. 15 and 22, in convenient locations in Greenville and Edinboro. Admission to each Expo is free. Door prizes and refreshments will be available.
Guests will find a wealth of information and health services at both Expos, including representatives from the county Area Agency on Aging, law enforcement, the Alzheimer’s Association, senior living communities, and more. Vision screenings, flu shots, and information on heating assistance, elder abuse, and other relevant topics will be offered as well. “I love visiting with our seniors and talking with them personally about issues important to them,” Sen. Brooks said.
Here are some photographs from last year’s Senior Expos in Greenville and Edinboro. Thanks to the many friendly faces who came in 2016. Hope to see you all again this year! “These expos bring together the information and experts dedicated to helping our seniors stay active and lead a safer, healthier, more independent and fulfilling lifestyle. Everyone is welcome, including those who may be caregivers for loved ones at home,” she said. At the Greenville Expo, a collection for our troops will be taken, in a joint effort with Meadville Post 52. Items that are especially needed include lip balm, beef jerky, hand sanitizer, small packs of tissues, eye drops and peanuts. For additional information, please call Sen. Brooks’ district office at 724-588-8911. |
