Special Ceremony Planned to Honor Local Vietnam Veterans

Many veterans of the conflict in Vietnam faced the incredible dangers of war, but never received the respect and admiration that they deserved when they came home. In conjunction with members of Lancaster County’s delegation to the General Assembly, I look forward to hosting a special event in Landisville on October 21 to honor local Vietnam veterans for their service to our nation.

All veterans who served on active duty in the United States military between Nov. 1, 1955, and May 15, 1975, are invited to participate. A special Vietnam veterans’ lapel pin has been produced and will be distributed to attending veterans. Registration is required in order to participate. If you or a loved one would like to be recognized during the ceremony, please contact my office by calling (717) 627-0036, or register online at www.senatoraument.com.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the Hempfield High School Performing Arts Center, located at 200 Stanley Avenue in Landisville. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or would like to register for this event.
